California (SCIFCA) - 14th state to activate NATS Program

The Southern California Interscholastic Football Association (SCIFCA) has approved activation of the American Football Coaches Association’s (AFCA) NATS program. With the addition of California, 14 states are presently scheduled to conduct a total of 20 NATS Tests during the 2007 campaign.

"I am delighted that California (SCIFCA) has become the 14th state to activate the NATS program. California has always been a perennial powerhouse on the national recruiting front. I am quite sure that SCIFCA's intiative to activate the NATS program will be of tremendous benefit to student-athletes in California and the entire West Coast" said AFCA Executive Director Grant Teaff.
SCIFCA member Bob Burt added "We look forward to conducting NATS tests in California during the 2007 testing campaign. Additionally, I am eager to represent SCIFCA at the annual Board of Review meeting at the AFCA convention in San Antonio. I feel that the substantive information garnered from my contemporaries on the board will be of tremedous benefit to SCIFCA and our student-athletes".
The SCIFCA will conduct their NATS Test in the summer of 2007. All high school players from all grades and all schools (public or private) are invited to attend.
