American School Counselors Association Endorses NATS
March 2, 2006
The American School Counselors Association (ASCA) has endorsed NATS as a valuable educational tool that will assist their membership in counseling high school student-athletes.
Never before have school counselors had a single resource providing them with critical information regarding academic NCAA eligibility guidelines, NCAA Eligibility Center rules, plus educational tools like the one-of-a-kind NATS Core Course Calculator. The ASCA views NATS as an important resource to enable their members to better assist student-athletes.
“NATS provides school counselors with the valuable resources they need to advise their student-athletes most effectively,” stated ASCA Executive Director Richard Wong. “School counselors can log on to the NATS website anytime to receive up-to-date NCAA rules and regulations governing academic eligibility.”
The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) is a worldwide nonprofit organization based in Alexandria, VA. ASCA supports school counselors' efforts to help students focus on academic, personal/social and career development so they achieve success in school and are prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society. The association provides professional development, publications and other resources, research and advocacy to nearly 17,000 professional school counselors around the globe.
