NATS LogoNFC TrainingThe National Athletic Testing System (NATS) has named it’s first five National Field Consultants (NFC’s). The responsibility of a National Field Consultant is to ensure that each individual NATS Tests’ staff understands and executes the NATS Standard Operating Procedure Manual flawlessly. The quality control which an NFC provides will ensure that the information which NATS Tests produce is standardized and accurate.

Tim Kane of Illinois, Chris Seroka of Texas, Mike Smith of Florida, Richard Sharpnack of New Jersey and Tim Sturdivant of Virginia make up the inaugural NFC Class. They were selected from a class of seven prospective NFC Candidates who participated in the NFC Training weekend held February 24-26 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

NFC TrainingNATS Director of Testing John Aaron said, “It will be these five men who will observe, evaluate and assist each of our NATS Tests. The responsibility these men carry is immense towards ensuring verified test results and ultimately the long term success of the NATS program.”

“I was very impressed with all seven participants. Narrowing it down to five had to be a very difficult selection decision,” said NFC Mike Smith of Florida. NFC Chris Seroka of Texas added, “To be selected as one of NATS’ first 5 NFC’s is quite an honor and carries with it great responsibility.”
