Welcome to the NATS Combine Zone
Welcome to the National Athletic Testing System (NATS).
The concept of uniform standards is not new. Every efficient organization in our society utilizes standardization. From the U.S. Department of Weights and Measures, to the Scholastic Aptitude Test, to Federal Express, to the US Army, to the General Motors assembly line - uniform standards are fundamental to the successful operation and core value of any organization.
NATS brings standardization to high school athletic testing for football players. The establishment of uniform standard operating procedures makes NATS the single most valuable tool for tracking a player’s physical development, comparing his athletic ability to other high school players around the country and promoting him to college recruiters.
Since all NATS Combines are conducted exactly alike, scores can be compared from one location to another. Whether a player attends a NATS Combine in Florida, or one in Washington, all players perform the same drills, the same way. This produces accurate, credible and most important, useful test scores for the players, coaches, parents and counselors.
Like anything else, a successful combine performance usually takes practice. In academics, students take the PSAT prior to taking the SAT. Similarly, players should not wait until their junior year to participate in their first NATS Combine. Participating in NATS as a freshman and sophomore enables players to become familiar with NATS Combine procedures and improve their performance so they produce their best scores when it counts the most as a rising senior.
